Wine is pale yellow and smells pleasantly of apple and hazelnut.
Acid is spot on, being nicely refreshing on the palate without oozing over into sharpness. Quite strong fruit flavour of pear and pineapple at the start moving on into a much more astringent finish of bitter gooseberry and minerals.

Yes, it's from Erich Machherndl. I'm not familiar with the Austria region, so deciphering the label gave me a bit of a headache!
