Alert! Alert!

by JC (NC) » Thu Jan 03, 2008 6:15 pm

Calvert Woodley (wine shop) is sponsoring a wine dinner with the daughter of Chateau Angelus owner, Coralie de Bouard. Dinner is at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in DC, Wednesday, January 16, and the menu sounds very appealing. For more details check http://www.wineaccess.com/store/calvert ... _id=139624

Sorry for the commercial nature of this posting but I have no financial interest here and just want to let those interested know about the dinner. Wish I could attend myself but I have a bring-your-own-wine dinner in Raleigh to look forward to the following week.

JC, there is absolutely no rule against telling our gang about a great wine-related opportunity as long as you're not promoting your own business. This kind of consumer announcement is very much within rules and policy, and you deserve thanks, not criticism. :)

One suggestion, though: It might be more effective to try to work something more specific into the subject so people will know what it's about.

"Alert! Angelus dinner in DC" or something might be even more effective. Just sayin' ...

LOL at some of your responses. Okay. Next time I'll be more specific in the subject line.
