100% malbec from a single vineyard in Ugarteche, Mendoza, at 3200 feet. Deep dark red color. Aroma of plums in compote. Very full body, massive, concentrated wine, 14.5% abv. Ripe dark plums, cocoa, violets and smoky oak. Very mouthfilling, flamboyant, heady. Tannins still to be resolved, the wine needs a couple of years of cellaring to integrate better. Medium/long finish. Long and complex finish, with sweet vanilla oak and a touch of smoke. Very good super modern heady malbec. I could not drink this wine every day though. Not for the faint of heart.
