As 2007 nears its end, it's time for our annual discussion about our wine-related resolutions in the New Year. Will you drink more wine, or less? Spend more or economize? Try to learn something new? Or the always useful "other"? Tell us more about your resolutions in our weekly poll! Other: take a trip to at least one wine producing region in Europe.

I guess that would be both spend more on wine and learn more about wine!

Same as for the last two years:

1. Buy fewer bottles (down 10% in '06, 25% in '07. shooting for another 20% in '08 .)

2. Drink more, share more (so I can drop resolution #1)

3. More wines from the Iberian Peninsula

4. Continue studying French

New this year--try new wine-food combinations. I'm getting an early start tonight with a ham-Freisa tip I got from a recent thread here.

I would say drink more wines I like, and do whatever it takes to accomplish that, whether it is tasting more, spending more, or spending less, learning more!

Other: take a trip to at least one wine producing region in Europe.

Let's rephrase that. "Go to Italy with Paulo in January of 2009".
