WTN: Oracle of the Wind Sauvignon Blanc 2006

by Bruce Hayes » Thu Dec 13, 2007 8:46 pm

Western Cape.

Deceptively light structured, very intense fruit flavours of grapefruit, lemon and lime, very peppery, quite drying toward the end.

Matched this with a chicken stir fry which was heavy on the ginger and it not only held its own but proved to be quite a palette cleanser.

A peppery finish, with lemon and bitter grapefruit rind.

Purchased at $10.95 (Canadian): a lot of wine for the money.

Thanks for the great note Bruce.

Is this a regular list LCBO, or Vintages item?

Okay, I'm new here, but am I the only one who thought "pull my finger" when reading the subject line?

Kevin
Dreadfully ashamed and remourseful.

I'm not new here and I thougth the same thing when I read a good review of this. They have a Shiraz which is called Oracle of the Sun. What the heck, it's good wine at a cheap price. :D
