WTN: Prieler Blaufränkisch 'Johanneshöhe' 2005

A well-built little temptress of a Blaufränkisch from this Österreichischer Rotwein Dynamo. Sweet black licorice and plum jelly, black cherry fruit and a bit past second-crack roasted coffee bean flavors, dried lilac and white pepper. The tannins are many but slow and soothing. A bringer of pleasure for sure, much in the same way that Chinon would, if not completely the same sport -like Fußball and field hockey. 13% alc, $23
