Von Schubert in '06

Any comment regarding the '06 Spatleses and QbA from Von Schubert in '06? A local shop has these, and I'd like some thoughts on the quality of the '06 Spatleses, as I recognize that '06 is a spotty year.

David B. or others can answer better, but my impression was '06 was a good year, if you like a lot of ripeness. So the Spatlese might be a baby Auslese. But I haven't tasted any serious '06s yet. But I love Max. Grunhauser.

I tasted way back in May, but the Abtsberg spatlese was lovely, and the QbA was also nice. In general I found these wines less plagued by botrytis than other 06 Germans.. But things have changed since May so maybe you can taste a bottle before purchasing cases..

I've had the regular Abstberg Auslese '06 and loved it.

Thanks all. Word elsewhere (Schildknecht) is that Ruwer is probably one of the spottier regions, but Von Schubert is among the best on '06. The QbA rank wasn't recommended, except for simple drinking sooner rather than later.
