Well, it was a great evening with over 50 participants. As usual with this affair, many ladies present and a great chance to find some Christmas wines at a 10% discount.

The reds drew the most attention but I really enjoyed the two whites served, am always a fan of Verdelho. The reds were well received except for the Equus Carmenere which was quite unpleasant on the finish. The Montrose, Vin du Pays d`Oc, was a tad light but will go well with ham and turkey. Thorn-Clark was standard fare from this good winery but I pushed up sales of the Shotfire Ridge!!
The Arrocal simply flew off the shelf after the event, this is a great wine from R del Duero. Many comments on this forum I think in the past? Oak and cherry on the nose but very soft with fine tannins and a pleasing finish. One to look out for forumites.
Four Vines Zin? What can one say, this is a great wine for $20 and I have mentioned before here. Naturally not everyone`s wine and a few questions about why is it red?!!

Nice evening.
