Clear, medium garnet-ruby hue; same colour throughout. Nicely composed nose of meaty/peppery Shiraz fruit, dusty/smoky French oak and telltale South African coal dust/leather. Very pretty composition with swirling. Lithe and tart on the entry; crisp and quite flavourful all across the palate with bright acidity. Well balanced, nicely dry and very much a food wine. Shiraz pepper and oak spice on the long finish. Tart and cleansing finish. Quite a lightweight frame for a warm-climate Shiraz, it rather tastes like one from Ontario and went well with a veggie pizza.
