WTN Don't look at this if you've had more than 2 glasses of wine.....

.....'cuz this website may make you a little dizzy!!!

Last night and tonight I finished off a bottle of CAMILLE CAYRAN Les Salyens Cairanne Cotes du Rhone Village 2001. Just a delightful spicy, licorice-y, plummy fruit little wine that has been a delight both last night and tonight. Check out their website - very cool for those of us visually stimulated!

Kinda looks like one of Homer's daydreams on the Simpsons.

Thanks, Paulo
We'll be in their neighborhood next September, and I will offer a toast to you from their hilltop.

Count on it Paulo. I'll even put them into that nifty Comcast program you put us onto a year or so ago.

Hi, Paulo, I'm in NY for a week, and was surprised to find the Cayran at a wine store near my daughter's school. Your notes had left me curious, so I took a bottle to a all-Brazilians brunch the next day. Right after opening, the smell was the most "tapenade" I've ever encountered. I couldn't make out any particularly distinctive notes in the taste, but found the acid/fruit balance pleasing, despite a somewhat hollow mid-palate. Last nght, after two days in the fridge with vacu-vin, it was much rounder, with the tapenade now much more in the taste than in the aroma. Definitely a wine for olive lovers, to drink at a picnic next to a gnarled olive tree under the Umbrian sky...
"I went on a rigorous diet that eliminated alcohol, fat and sugar. In two weeks, I lost 14 days." Tim Maia, Brazilian singer-songwriter.

Enjoyed the website, Paulo. Thanks for providing the link. The wine sounds very enjoyable also.
