2005 Joseph Drouhin, Chorey les Beaune
Earth and cherry on the nose--clearly Pinot. The palate follows with tart cherry, clove and cinnamon. Good grip. Surprisingly very fruit forward, but just a touch too ripe (almost candied) right now for my taste. Not terribly complex. NJ like it a bunch.
I'd buy again at the ~$20 I paid. However when I recently went back to the local shoppes to buy a few more bottles, the price had jumped to $30 and $35 at the 2 stores which still had some in stock...about face and exit store without opening wallet.
