This wine has held its color very nicely. Aromatics are subdued. Flowery. Lots of roses. At first the palate seems tart and slightly stewed. After a little time in the glass the wine started to clean up. Then with the food it all came into line. There is a lot of richness in the mid-palate. The wine is certainly aging and creeping into a secondary phase. Probably not for everyone. Still lots of fruit but there are signs of drying out. It may have just stepped out of its best days but it is certainly alive. I am not crazy about the richness in the mid-palate. Just a little heavy. 88+pts.
