Continuing the exploration of 1998 CNdP - the Guigal, while never the most promising example of this fine vintage, is drinking quite well, with cherry fruit, a full dose of leather and medium body that balances its acid, tannin and alcohol well. Good, straightforward CNdP, which is what I would expect from a Guigal negotiant bottling. Looks to have a solid 3-5 years of good drinking ahead of it.
