Warning: If your taste runs toward Big fruit forward/Big oak/Big alcohol in you Cali-Cabs, then run far away from this wine.
Decanted for one hour and then consumed over the subsequent 2.5 hours. Dark color with no sign of fade. Complex arromatics full of mint/eucalyptus, flowers, spice and black fruit. Very sleek and elegant in the mouth. Balanced with enough acidity for me to classify this as food-friendly. Just the slightest touch of french (?) oak with some tannins that are not yet fully resolved. No alcohol/heat whatsoever. I think this will continue to improve over the next 3-5 years, so I'll let my remaining 3 bottles rest just a bit longer. Plus, I've always liked the look of Tom's front label.
