I'm lucky enough to be invited every few months to the final exams dinners prepared by the students of the Center for Asian Culinary Studies so this will be a week of lots of eating and drinking.
These are notes for wines from the Monday night dinner.
Spy Valley Marlborough Pinot Noir 2006 - Soft mothfeel with a crisp, slightly bitter finish. Pleasant.
Cordero di Montezemolo Langhe Curde Pinot Nero 1997 - Very dry, dried herbs. Some prune. Drinking perfectly now but I get the sense it won't last much longer.
Heartland Dolcetto/Lagrein 2005 - Blackberry jam nose. Very dar, sweet and full. Obviously Oz. Good balance. Quite nice.
