Translucent light ruby wine. Rich nose of spring mushrooms on a forest floor and cherries. Light to medium bodied on the midpalate with cherries and raspberries with smooth but noticeable tannins and good mouth watering acidity. Nicely balanced.
With food. Good (but not great) match with herb roasted pork tenderloin. Better match with roasted garlic mashed potatoes. The garlic brings out a certain spiciness in the wine (light pepper and cinnamon).
