Which I guess means my palate is becoming consistent, which is very exciting for me as a newbie!! It also means that I'm starting to learn which producers I like, without preconcieved notions.
This time it was a Jose Pariente Reuda. The one I had tried previously was a 2005 from a tasting I attended, the most recent was a glass of 2003 from a restaurant in Boston. My notes regarding the wines were pretty different; the 2005 says "hay, barnyard and wet rope (bizarre descriptions for a white, but I recall now thinking it was an odd white) and the 2003 says "full bodied, nutty with citrus notes".
Hmmm, looking at the notes it almost seems like the descriptions would have been reversed, given all I've heard about 2003?? Or does that only hold true for some areas?
Anyway, thanks for listening, I was just excited about my revelation
