From unwanted body hair to the wine you drink...

by Hoke » Mon Sep 17, 2007 2:13 pm

The TTTB (for all you old codgers, that's what used to be the BATF) announced that it has added a few chemicals and processes to the list allowed for treating and processing wines.

One of these is electrodialysis. Now, you might've reacted the same way I did: what do ads in the back of magazines about removing unwanted body hair have to do with wine????

Well, it's a different thing. The electrodialysis process for wine is simply the use of a couple of special membranes for removing excess tartrates in wine. Doesn't have anything to do with a Russian masseuse plucking out your hair with supercharged tweezers. :D

"You're thinking of electrolysis, Emily. This is electrodialysis."

"Oh. That's very different. Never mind."

Oh, and here I thought the tart rates in wine were similar to bawd rates on the Internet which actually do have something to do with Russian masseuses.
And now what?
