Cosentino 2004 "The Poet" Meritage, Napa Valley, Red Wine, a.b.v. ??, MSRP $65.00:

This red Meritage is composed of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Cabernet Franc, 14% Merlot, 7% Petite Verdot. It was absolutely delicious. It greeted you with both red and black fruit aromas which slowly changed to cedar, spice, and a touch of capsicum. Despite 29 months in French oak, it was no oak bomb. Balanced, multifaceted and tasty from start to long finish.

I was in the Cosentino tasting room on business and this is what was offered to me. I forgot to jot down the alcohol content, but the mouthfeel was light and anything but hot.

I'm putting this one on my wine gift registry ... so next time you're in Napa ...

Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

OK, deck passage on the Good Ship Lollipop through the Northwest Passage this coming December. You'll have to supply your own chaise lounge and shuffleboard pucks.
And now what?
