WTN: Segura Viudas Lavit Brut Nature Cava 2003

Sapin.

A blend of Macabeo (60 per cent) and Parellada.

Very light yellow color, almost clear.

Good mousse.

Lemon and nutty on the nose.

Very dry, almost steely, peppery, lemon, a hint of grapefruit rind, very clean, but quite light-bodied and delicate.

Not much of a finish.

A good, zippy palette cleanser and quite delicious.

Purchased at $14.95 (Canadian).

I prefer their regular vintage Brut, but most of their wines are reasonably priced and serviceable summer fare. As it happens I am opening a bottle of the Lavit Rosado in the garden today!
