1987 Chateau Montelena

by Alejandro Audisio » Sun Aug 12, 2007 9:52 am

I just received a bottle of 87 Montelena as a gift and am thinking of opening it sometime soon.... but I read that this wine still has a long way (maybe 10 more years) to go...

Any thoughts and/or recent experiences with this vintage?

Thanks
Alejandro

If the wine has been stored well over its years, there is no rush. I have had bottles that were delicious and some that were just OK, so whenever you open it, I suspect you will enjoy it.

Thanks Jim... I know the bottle has been stored in the best way (its from the cellar of a serious collector).
