Have I missed a thread on this, as the ad says, the "World's First Vacuum Decanter?"

I am trying to understand why, after decanting, the vacuum would be necessary, but I also know, judging by the other vacuum nonsense, that these things are related to that oil of a snake thing...

Where did this thing come from and when will this junk stop coming at us?

OK, this DOES seem stupid. I guess maybe one could make the argument re older wines that need decanting for sediment but are more fragile, but since I find vacumn products seldom produce desired effects (though I know many swear by them), I'll pass.
