Thanks for the suggestion, Tom. I learned about Italian wines using Burton, but have been told others have now surpassed him.

I'll buy that earlier edition based on your report -- I like Burton's writing and the pictures will take me to one of my favorite countries in my imaginaiton.

Otto, I set up the group -- feel free to join in. I just called it "Wine". Seems like there is no leader -- anyone can join in, give access to their books, and chat about books in the discussion area.

I'll put a little blurb there as a starter mentioning WLDG and the WLP Wine Library project.

On the top of the page, just under the logo of LibraryThing, there is a sign for "Groups". Click there, and voila! Yes I heard about your Pepiere. (I'm jealous.)

Bob R, has anyone mentioned "A good year"by Peter Mayle? Its about S France, Province I think.

I've been thinking about Mayle, Bob -- but there are so many other good wine books in the library and suggested, so it will be awhile. Stay tuned.
