Thanks for the suggestion, Tom. I learned about Italian wines using Burton, but have been told others have now surpassed him.

I'll buy that earlier edition based on your report -- I like Burton's writing and the pictures will take me to one of my favorite countries in my imaginaiton.

Thanks so much, Bob

Bob, have you noticed that there is now a section called "groups"? Maybe you should put up a wine group there if it already isn't!

I've been thinking about it, Otto. Want to see how the groups develop, but it's a very good idea. Thanks. Bob

Otto, I set up the group -- feel free to join in. I just called it "Wine". Seems like there is no leader -- anyone can join in, give access to their books, and chat about books in the discussion area.

I'll put a little blurb there as a starter mentioning WLDG and the WLP Wine Library project.

Thanks for the heads up. Bob

On the top of the page, just under the logo of LibraryThing, there is a sign for "Groups". Click there, and voila! Yes I heard about your Pepiere. (I'm jealous.)

Hi Clark,

I've read the Didio wine and food pairing book and would like to enter it into the library with your recco. How should your name appear?

Thanks for the recco. Bob

I've been thinking about Mayle, Bob -- but there are so many other good wine books in the library and suggested, so it will be awhile. Stay tuned.

Thanks, Bob

To Bob Ross,

Have you noticed how many eyes have looked at this thread?

Who says people aren't interested in reading books anymore?

You are performing a great service to thinking people--thanks again.
