If money were no object, I could spend vast amounts of it and time finding out which wines I prefer. Why are the Grand Crus of Bordeaux so expensive? Why the Grand Premier Crus of Burgundy? Even if they are worth it to some people, would they suit my developing taste? At this point, I cannot know.

So I'd probably just buy a bottle of Screaming Eagle.

Yes, yes, yes, James! I totally agree with you. It would be all about the people with whom I'd drink, not about the wine we would consume. What a lovely thought..to jet around and visit our international friends. Thank you for including me, JR. I lift my glass to you, and my wine chat friends, as well!

Being practical and wanting to make sure it was really good I would want the '82 and '83 Margaux beside each other and finish with '71 Yquem
