Speaking of benchmarks, tonight (last day of September), I opened 2012 ESJ Fenaughty El Dorado County Syrah. It is the natural order of things, but the world will be much poorer when ESJ wines are no longer around, and this represented one less bottle in the world. But, it was well enjoyed!

Dark savory fruits with the seamless elegance and harmony of age, a fresh focused structure and a bit of herbal complexity to make everything so enjoyable. I will miss these wines when they're gone!

Lucky you to still have some, Rahsaan. Opened my last one last summer...waaah.
My wine shopping and I have never had a problem. Just a perpetual race between the bankruptcy court and Hell.--Rogov
