Yes, indeed. It didn't show any ripeness beyond what I'd consider appropriate.

But hey, chardonnay! A 2008 Taittinger Comtes yesterday--Chardonnay doesn't get any better than this.

Well yeah - Chardonnay with bubbles is the best Chardonnay.
