If I had a mature Les Amoureuse then it would be the obvious choise, wouldn't it?

I absolutely did. Difficult to find specific information on the wineries location in/near Montefalco, though I'm sure you won't have trouble once you're there.
I can certainly see that you know your wine. Most of the guests who stay here wouldn't know the difference between Bordeaux and Claret.

My oldest Les Amoureuses ('96) isn't ready yet, so Dawn picked a '90 Drouhin Corton.

Paulo, it seems the producer's name is Brogal Vini, though that doesn't appear anywhere on the label.

Here's the website, I can't get the English version to come up or I'd read up on it.

I'm aware of Chatter Creek, but I don't recall having ever tasted their wine. I'm planning a trip out to Woodinville one of these weekends soon, so I'll try to get them on my itinerary.

I have no idea. Depends on what my wife has planned for dinner.

I had thought I wouldn't be home for dinner tonight, and so we made no plans. Tomorrow, however, I'm taking her to a Benton Lane winemaker's dinner at the local French restaurant.

Nothing for the occasion itself - though I may open up a dry Traminette from Michigan. Or, I may wait to the weekend.

That only works if one's significant other is of similar mindset.

Aw, Otto, I hope it's because you don't celebrate Valentine's Day, and not because you don't have a sweetie to share a bottle with.

Mt Difficulty Pinot Noir 2005 Central Otago. Nice NZ pinot to go with herb roasted pork tenderloin. My wife and I enjoyed it in my new pinot wine glasses from Mikasa - their new oenolgy series Kwarz. Nice glasses that display the wine well and are great for swirling without spilling.

We went out to dinner and had a Fess Parker Pinot Noir. It was a little young yet but perfectly decent. Very berry fruit forward style of pinot.

No. I have the sweetiest sweetie to share a bottle with, but I think I should be off wine at the moment for medical reasons. We don't really celebrate the day in Finland, but I was persuaded to drop my wine fast today for a belated V-day dinner at the most lovable restaurant in Helsinki, Carelia. Notes to follow soon!

I hope this is a temporary condition and you will soon be back to your lovable self. Get well soon Otto!
