I started the whole "letting white wines breath" discussion which really had very little to do with Rashaan's post. I should have started a separate thread on that topic. That way those interested would have been able to find it and contribute.

FWIW, I might be a bit external to the core debate, but thread drift as a concept seems to be a fine Internet Art, so..

Don't beat up on yourself, Sam ... as Rahsaan points out, thread drift happens, and nobody really minds. As I've told Paul privately, I think the issue here - and it's one that doesn't hurt to air in public, as long as we keep it clean and above the belt - I think he's seeing a little free-market response to his tendency to seize upon just about any opportunity convert many threads to passionate hymns of praise to his favorite topics. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but in a community of peers, it's fair to raise issues like this, as long as we keep it reasonably civil.

Mental picture of Robin as John Cleese (Fawlty Towers) - "Whatever you do, don't mention the War (hybrids grapes)".......
