As I can't drink a whole bottle at one sitting without feeling untoward consequences, I had another glass of the Tollot-Beaut Aloxe-Corton tonight, with cold leftover roast beef. It takes a long time for me to eat a 5 pound roast!
The wine was softer after a couple of days in the refrigerator, and showed somewhat more fruit. It was more Burgundian and less generic, but still sort of mediocre.
I guess I'll have to ask about vinous idiocy before I open another bottle of Burg.
