What bugs me is I've seen a DRC Richebourg at the Heathrow Duty Free. Think about it. There's so few of these wines floating around and a couple of bottles found their way to Heathrow where the only people who can afford it are ensconced in some lounge waiting for their private plane to be fueled. I can imagine they might be tempted to buy a bottle cruising around the terminal making last minute shopping but basically that's a bottle that will just fill the display in order to make the shop look posher.

A local Indianapolis wine shop does have a couple bottles of the La Tache and a bottle of the DRC. I did see a bottle of the DRC for sale in Southern Texas several years ago.

My experience of DRC is very limited, managed to try a few Echezeaux and a 76 RSV. But for similar price, my heart goes to Domaine Leroy still based on my limited experience. I still remember the '93 Savigny Les Beaune Les Narbonton, Dom. Leroy, for less than $150 USD, it clearly defines what a true Burgundy is, their 2004 Leroy is so enchanting....
