Apparently, so, James. As my little protest, I'm going to abstain from buying any wine in Maryland for the rest of the year. (BTW - is it time for a DC offline with an older Bordeaux theme?).

How is April 16th?
Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'til he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

I'll have to check with Liz and then I'll post a note on the offline page.

Direct shipping may be back next year. The Modernization Act passed which is good for the local wineries.

Its going to take time. As much as I want direct shipping, the winery legislation was essential for any hopes of bringing Maryland wines to a point where they can compete with Virginia. I hope that the new legislation results in some new wineries willing to spend the resources to make quality wine in Maryland. Black Ankle took the leap but others need to follow for the state to have a legitimate wine industry.
