After Dinner Drinks

I’ll have to go with liquor, Stock Anisette. But on special occasions the Strega bottle comes out.

I reach for grappa or single malt whiskey as first choices. If I have more of a sweet tooth it will be sweet Loire chenin.
And in each case I want to try as many different examples as I can.

A Single Malt with a cigar is just marvelous.

What is your favorite after a fine meal?

I voted for desert wine, but really it's a dead heat between desert wine and port. Desert wine got the vote because it's hot & humid and I can't picture drinking port right now! Tom V

something about the post above (desert? heat?) made me feel even hotter than I already am

After dinner, I'm partial to a very small glass of Madeira (Broadbent 10 Year Malmsey is the house favourite), followed by a lot of hot Chinese tea.
