Friday night I had the Matar Chardonnay 2016. It's a cheerful wine, featuring a range of melons with a hint of vanilla and even a trace of salinity. The weight is considerable, allowing it to stand up to fish and soup. With lunch I had the Hajdu Syrah 2011. It's a wine that layers fruit, spice, herbs, meat and tobacco alongside nice tannins and acidity. The red fruit is still bright; the meat, rare and sanguine.
Best Regards,
