The white that I still recall two weeks later is the Tzora Shoresh Blanc 2014. This Sauvignon Blanc tastes young, with the blindingly bright fruit blocking out the textured layering that lies underneath. Of the reds, I remember the Carmel Malbec Admon Vineyared 2013, and the Carmel Mediterranean 2012. The Malbec hit my palate with wonderfully chewy tannins and an initial showing of fruit. However, the promise didn't materialize and wafted away with every sip. The Mediterranean, a blend of Syrah, Petit Verdot, Carignan, Petite Syrah, Malbec and a bit of Viogner, is lovely and lively with tannins that are silken and fruit that is lush.
