The lighter of the two wines I had was the Vitkin Israeli Journey Rose 2016. It's made overwhelmingly of Grenache Noir with a tad of Carignan. It's tart, with ample strawberry and watermelon, and a seeming dustiness that I would attribute to skin contact. The other wine was the Hagafen Prix Cabernet Sauvignon 2007. This cab was austere, featuring much in the way of earth, tobacco and tannins, and rounded out by dark fruit.
Best,
Pinchas
