Lift the Flame /WeeksEnd wine

Holding a flame near the wick to light the wick.Sometimes takes a few extra moments but then its lit.
Not so much the light like the light of a bulb.Brighter yet more serene..But you put that effort into making sure that flame rises.

I enjoyed two bottles of wine: the Midbar Chenin Blanc 2012 and a wine made by a garagiste friend, Jacob Zinfandel 2012. The Chenin Blanc was nutty, with a pleasant bitter tang and dusty with pollen. The Zin was soft and plush, and although it was light on acid, it nonetheless had enough fruit to carry it.
