Hi Harry,
The first bottle was the Midbar 44 2010, that blends Gewurztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Viognier--if I recall correctly. Being two weeks removed from the bottle, my recollection is probably inaccurate. The wine is austere, possessing dryness and peppery spice, but with adequate tropical fruit to color its cheeks and with weight sufficiently hefty to pull it all together. The second bottle was the Prix Hagafen Cabernet Sauvignon 2003. The sweet red fruit is punctuated by red current and boysenberry. The savory fruit is complemented by well integrated and elegant tannins.
Best Regards,
